June 29, 2008 Double pounding nets two losses |
||
|
The Stingers spiraled down a path of poor play
and pitching woes getting two consecutive clobberings putting the team down
in the standings. The only thing hot was the temperature and the coaching
staff. No highlights except AJ McNees hit his 4th HR of the season during
this downslide. Next game is Wednesday where we hope to regroup and get back
on track. |

The Stingers could not put together a rally leaving
several base runners stranded as we lost to the Buzz 5-1. The lone Stinger
run came on a home run by Gary Savage in the 2nd inning. The Buzz pitcher did
a great job keeping our batters down when needed. |

||

Nick allowed just one earned run in 7 innings for a complete game victory striking out 2 in the bottom of the 7th as we took the championship and the $500 prize 3-1. ||
|
Tonight
our 6 game win streak was snapped with bad defense and no offense as we fell
to the Barons 8-0 in the first game of the Varsitysports.com fathers day

much. Barons pitching was tough and we could not generate any offense.
Hopefully we regroup and focus on Friday night when we host Fedral Way
Wildcats. |
